Due to public interest, Michelangelo: A Different View has been extended in Wellington until 22 February, giving more New Zealanders the rare opportunity to experience the breath-taking frescoes of the Sistine Chapel — right here at home.

Under license from the Vatican Museums, Michelangelo – A Different View brings the Sistine Chapel’s iconic frescoes exclusively to Wellington.

For the first time in Aotearoa, visitors will encounter more than 50 stunning reproductions of Michelangelo’s masterpieces — including a life-size 4.9m x 22m version of The Genesis and an almost original-sized 5.4m x 5.4m The Last Judgment. Unlike the Vatican, where millions crane their necks for a distant glimpse, this exhibition invites you to see the works from just two metres away.

Presented by The Stetson Group, the team behind The Art of Banksy, this once-in-a-lifetime event transforms how we view the genius of the Renaissance.
