A Landmark Art Experience in the Capital

Step into a vibrant showcase of Aotearoa’s best contemporary art at the stunning Tākina Wellington Convention & Exhibition Centre. From August 7 to 24, the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts (NZAFA) presents its most ambitious event yet: a national gathering of artistic excellence, featuring over 350 works by 260 artists from across the country.

Explore the legacy of the Trust that turned Wellington into a city of sculpture. From Ferns to Quasi, this showcase reflects decades of public art and community engagement.

Poking Sticks – A Different, Irreverent Reality
Nine South Island artists with Dutch roots bring an offbeat, multicultural energy in this colourful, first-time Wellington exhibition.
