Tākina Events has announced the appointment of NW Group and Streamliner Productions as preferred audiovisual suppliers for Tākina Wellington Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Tākina Events has announced the appointment of NW Group and Streamliner Productions as preferred audiovisual suppliers for Tākina Wellington Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The appointment builds on established working relationships with both suppliers, formalised through a competitive procurement process. The new preferred supplier model secures Tākina Events’ ability to scale specialist AV infrastructure for complex programming, offering clients the technical agility essential for extraordinary event experiences of all sizes.

“Appointing NW Group and Streamliner as preferred suppliers is a natural next step for us. Both teams have been delivering outstanding work at Tākina since we opened, and formalising these partnerships means our clients can book with even greater confidence. Our in-house AV team remains at the heart of every event we deliver, and together with NW Group and Streamliner, we now have the depth and flexibility to make any vision a reality.” Andrew Dorrington, General Manager - Venues, Tākina Events.

Tākina Events’ in-house AV team will continue to play a central role across all events. The quality of that in-house service is reflected in Tākina Events’ latest customer research: the venues’ Net Promoter Score rose from +56 to +83 in the year to February 2026, with AV technical delivery and AV value for money identified as market-leading strengths in the 2025 Business Events Survey of event professionals.

The preferred supplier partnerships extend the in-house team’s capability, bringing additional production expertise and equipment for events requiring high-level technical production, including performances and large-scale shows.

Both suppliers have a proven track record at Tākina. NW Group delivered Festival for the Future 2023, the first official commercial event ever held at Tākina, drawing more than 1,500 attendees from New Zealand and around the world. Streamliner delivered Harcourts HX 2024, one of the most technically ambitious events staged at the venue to date, spanning both Tākina and Te Papa.

“NW Group has been part of Tākina’s story since the very beginning, and we couldn’t be more proud to be formalising that relationship as a preferred supplier. The collaboration between our team and the Tākina Events AV team has been exceptional, and together we are well placed to deliver world-class events for clients with the highest expectations.” Lizzi Lovegrove, General Manager - Wellington, NW Group.

“Becoming a preferred supplier and event partner of Tākina is a milestone we’re proud of. Tākina gives us the room to realise technically complex, visually ambitious productions in Wellington, and we look forward to continuing to create bold, high-impact events here alongside the team at Tākina.” Richard Manu, General Manager and Owner, Streamliner Productions.

The preferred supplier model is effective immediately and applies to new event enquiries with large-scale AV production requirements.
