About the space

Tāwhirimātea is a huge venue with capacity for 1,610 delegates for conferences, and 1,070 for dinners.

If needed, the venue can be split into six spaces. Four of the subdivided rooms can accommodate over 250 delegates.

Tāwhirimātea features:

  • operable walls and dedicated AV zones allowing a flexible range of breakout, exhibition, or plenary configurations
  • modern wooden finishes and carpet throughout
  • built-in AV including:
    • projection and screens
    • a sound system and microphones
    • a lectern
    • comfort monitors
